R.Y.A. Windsurfing Courses

Introductory Course: This is a very basic introduction to the sport of windsurfing and does not form part of the R.Y.A. National Windsurfing Scheme. At the end of the session pupils would have been introduced to the very basics of windsurfing and would have enjoyed the experience of standing on a board and moving across the water.

This is a three hour session normally run on Saturday mornings although it can be arranged at other times to meet the needs of small groups of three or more participants.

The cost of this course is £50 per person. There is no reduction for juniors.

* Introductory Course Fee does not include R.Y.A. handbook or logbook.

Start Windsurfing: This is the first course in the R.Y.A. National Windsurfing Scheme. There are no prerequisites other than a degree of water confidence. Instruction will include an introduction to the equipment, practice of the skills on a land simulator, practice afloat followed by an assessment for the lStart Windsurfing certificate.

This is a two day course that is usually run on most weekends throughout the season, although it can be arranged at other times to meet the needs of small groups of three or more participants.

The cost of the course is £165 per Adult, £130 per Junior (16yrs or under).

• Group of six adults or adults and juniors mixed £760.00

Course fees include:- RYA logbook & certificate, Instruction, use of equipment including boards, rigs, wet suits and buoyancy aids .

Intermediate - Improving Techniques, Introduction to Fast Forward: The aim of this course is to simply brush up on the techniques that will make launching slicker, the turns faster and to slip you into a harness and adapt your stance to cope with more power. The course will end with an assessment for the Intermediate certificate.

This is a two day course that is usually run on weekends throughout the season, although it can be arranged at other times to meet the needs of small groups of three or more participants.
