Stand Up Paddleboarding

Originating hundreds of years ago, Hawian chiefs would use a paddleboard to fish in challenging locations. The resurgenge of this activity as a sport is largely thanks to the fact that almost anyone can get involved whatever their fitness level. You don't need to be afraid of how you look and the sport is also very popular amongst the larger person. You don't have to have fantastic balance and you can start as a complete novice on the flat water of Llandegfedd Reservoir.

If you want to give Paddleboarding a go why not come along to Gwent Adventures at Llandegfedd Reservoir and have a go. You can Hire a board and buoyancy aid (compulsory) For £10.00 for the first hour and £5.00 per addittional hour. If you would like some basic tuition; recommended for first timers, the cost is £15 per hour inclusive of hire.

3 hour learn to paddleboard course
This course lasting 3 hours is a great way to discover this new sport and maybe a new lifestyle.
The course will introduce you to everything you need to know to get you SUPing.
You will learn a variety of paddle skills allowing you to paddle safely and with confidence.
On completion you will receive a Ready to Ride certificate and a Llandegfedd SUP licence.
